City Festival - Festival Mirror of Art
Festival Mirror of Art celebrated ten years of its existence in 2010. Dubina Cultural House (now the Cultural Center of Pardubice) and the Basic Art School in Pardubice Polabiny, two organization, have responded to the invitation of UNESCO Director-General to support the arts and creativity as the basis of culture and peace eleven years ago. The combination of these two was this festival "Mirror of Art". The Mirror brings art to the streets of reflections and pieces of amateur art. This non-competitive parade of individuals and groups is an opportunity to show and to presentation the work by children, adults and seniors, for whom art is a hobby and love. The Mirror of Art by its rich program of workshops, exhibitions, performances and competitions shows the way to people, who still looking for a way to art.
Framework program of the festival
20th June: The Joint Action of schools ended by environmental project by EC Paleta
- 9:00 am to 12:00 pm - Opening parade. Join a large parade to the opening of the Festival Mirror of Art Castle ramparts in Pardubice. Passing through the square Pernstynske you´ll get balloons, which you will let out to a long journey into the world.
- Program for children, eko-programs, hourly eko- programs EC with letting out mirror balloons.
- 4 pm - Afternoon parade set of interest of artistic activity.
21st June: The City plays music
- 4:00 pm - Wind Orchestra Concert
- 5:00 pm - Old Music Concert - Chateau Pardubice
- 6:00 pm – Galaprogram evening of beautiful strings - Pardubice Chateau
- 7:00 pm - Swing night - Pernstyn Square
22nd June: The City sings
- 9:30 pm - Solo singing competition Pardubice´s Titlark and Pardubice´s nightingale - Castle
- 4:00 pm – Galaprogram "Children's Chorus” - Chateau
- 6:00 pm - Galaprogram "Adult Chorus” - Chateau
- 7:00 pm - Folk evening Pernstyn Square
23rd June: City dance
- 10:00 am, 14:30 and 8:00 pm - Galaprograms - Pernstyn Square
- 8:00 pm - Dance for joy - a great dance night – Pernstyn Square
24th June: City of painting and acting
- 10:00 am - Morning show for schools (KD Hronovicka)
- 4:00 pm - Children's theater feast on Pernstyn Square
