Team USA outplayed Canada and wins Group A
In the last match of the Day 3 Team USA beats Canada 6 - 3. The game started unexpectedly as the Canadians scored the first goal. Since then the game has been controlled by the United States, which turned the game over. No surprise happened.

Game report
This win was expected. And when Team Canada got two penalties, it seemed to be easy for the USA. However, Brett Leggat denied all the American attempts and Canada was the Team, which scored the first goal. Joshua Foote was the lucky shooter.
The rest of the 1st period was controlled by the Americans, who turned the match over. At first, Charles Yoder tied the game and two minutes later Itan Chavira shot the leading goal.
Then two more goals came. In 16th minute Shawn Gawrys hit the target and later he assisted the goal by Rafael Rodriguez. Another surprise appeared when Team Canada scored twice. After the goal shots of David Hammond and Kyle Henderson the Canadians were back.
Next chance for Nathan Sigmund ended on the cross bar of the Canadian goal. The USA did not score in power-play, Walser`s one-man show brought no success as well. Shawn Gawrys hit the post in the delayed penalty and Team USA was desperate until Itan Chavira scored a lucky goal.
”We enjoy the matches against Canada ever due to the rivalry. Now we have to prepare for play-off. We want a medal,” said the American shooter Chavira.
Team Canada tried to play power-play, which was unsuccessful. Kyle Kraemer targeted the empty net easily.
”The Americans are strong and fast. We respected this for three periods, but then we got uselessly penalties,” said Dave Hammond from Team Canada.

It was a good game, because we won. Slovenia last night, Canada tonight, it were close matches. In this perspective I am happy to see guys they are able to battle and finnish of close matches.

Team USA is strong. We played very good for the three periods. But then the Americans scored two power-play goals and the game was over.
