Game report
Twenty-one seconds before the end of the first quater, Domen Vedlin luckily scored from rebound and Slovenia was happy to take the lead after 12 minutes. But in the game of great golatending, the USA answered twice at the beginning of the second period. "I made a couple of good saves early, that helped us a lot," said Team USA goalkeeper Tommy Tartaglione.
The productive first line managed to score two goals within one minute. Jose Cadiz tied the game and Anthony Minor gave the USA the lead. And another member of the elite line, Kyle Kraemer hit the post.
If the first period ended up well for Slovenia, the second horn was delightful for the USA. Ten seconds before the end Jose Cadiz scored his second of the game.
Two goals in one game of Domen Vedlin didn´t help Slovenia to get points. Although they got faster after scoring it. Unfortunatelly for them, substitute Nathan Sigmund answered three minutes later. "We made some mistakes today and scored just two goals. We had a lot of powerplays, but could not score. That is hockey," said Team Slovenia´s captain Vedlin.
Slovenian post was hit once more in the last quater but none of the players managed to aim in between the post.
With one minute left, Slovenia took time out and pulled the goalie out of the crease, but it wasn´t enough. It lost to the USA 2-4.

Game reactions
Robert Chornomud (Team USA coach):
It was a much more difficult game than yesterday. I was impressed with Slovenia´s style of play. Our penalty killing helped us win a game. We have always had good penalty killing and today we killed the penalties in key moments. Three players were not on a roster, because we wanted to send a signal to some players, that our goal here is to win a tournament.
Rok Rojsek (Team Slovenia coach): We made a couple of mistakes at the end of first quarter. US players are good and fast and when we made a mistake, they punished us. Then it is difficult to come back.
