Sound of vuvuzelas didn´t help South Africa against Australia
Dean Dunstan had a great second period and mainly because of his three points, Australia took the lead. After a slow beginning when none of the teams wanted to make a mistake, the second period brought a more lively performance out of the South African players. Being faster wasn´t enough, though. Australia nailed the first half with four goals.

Game reactions
Michael Flaherty (Team Australia coach): Today´s game was very exciting. Guys played very well and showed some nice combinations. Yesterday we scored one goal out of 40 shots, today was a different story. We are of course very happy, but there is big challenge in front of us right tomorrow. Austria is a very difficult opponent. If we play like today, we can succeed.
Gavin Smith (Team South Africa coach): We still have to work on our transition to attack and powerplays, unfortunately we lose the puck way too often. We have to try to succeed at least in our third group game. The tournament here in Pardubice is one of the best I have ever been to.
