We chose our best players, Austrian player Mario Altmann says
They came down from the elite group of WC last year, for this year they get ready and they are determined to come back to the group of the best eight teams. We are talking about Team Austria. "We were focus on our games and we want to win our division," Mario Altmann says determinedly.
What goals do you have for this championship in Pardubice?
We have a very young team and we want to use it as much as possible. Now, we have to go through quarterfinals but we want to win in our whole division.
How do you like organization in Pardubice and how about Pardubice?
We haven´t time yet to go through, but I think Pardubice is beuatiful.
Do you have any inline hockey league in Austria?
We do, but the level of our league and of this championship is very different. There is much higher.
How did you choose your team for this tournament?
Right from our league, we chose the best ones, we had a training camp and we are here now.
Do you personally play also ice hockey or only inline?
I do both. I play in Austrian EBEL league. Specifically, I play in Villach.
EBEL league has grown by first Czech team - Znojmo.
I haven´t hear much about Znojmo yet, but they are good for sure. There are strong teams in the Czech Republic, so the level of EBEL will rise up. I look forward to them.
Is there big difference between inline and ice hockey?
Yes, it is. It is completely a different sport. Another tactic and moving. It is really hard to compare.
Do you take this championship as practise for ice hockey season?
I do, it is a great strength training.
