Game report
Team Slovenia scored the first goal in the fifth minute, when Anze Kuralt beat Jonas Sparring in the Swedish goal. When Gasper Kroselj made a great save against Berglund and then Matic Karlj scored at the other end, Team Slovenia led by two goals.
Tre kronor got back in the game in the 22nd minute with a power-play goal scored by Henrik Hoglund. A few moments later, Kristian Luukkonen tied the game.
In the 31st minute, Marcus Nilsson gave the Swedes the lead with a nice shot into the upper corner of the Slovenian goal. Kralj`s attempt was then stopped by a goalpost. When Kristian Luukkonen scored a power-play goal, Team Sweden calmed down. “We had to win the match, therefore I am happy about my goals,” said Luukkonen.
In the 44th minute, Carl Berglund beat Gasper Kroselj again and the Swedes now knew they would advance to the semifinals. Team Slovenia tried to pull the goalie and Simon Olsson scored the last goal of the game into the empty net.
"It`s too bad because we started well. On the other hand, the Swedes moved better,” said Robert Sabolic of Team Slovenia.

Game reactions
Rok Rojsek (Team Slovenia coach): Sweden was definitely the favourite, when playing against us. We started well and played a good game in the first half, led by two goals, but then conceded two in the last few minutes. I think we were unlucky at that time. Later, everything started to go wrong for us. Sweden played high and pushed us more, we tried to get back into it, but they scored again.
Fredrik Skoog (Team Sweden coach): It was a very even game against a strong and dangerous opponent. Slovenia got a two-goal lead really early, but thanks to our team play and better finishing, we were able to turn the game around and win it.
